I was trained as a traditional midwife through attending homebirths with a variety of midwives both as an assistant and as an apprentice and completing an internship at a very busy birth center. I was taught to understand birth as a normal and natural event, not as a major medical crisis.
I am the mother of 3 beautiful, funny, creative children ranging in age from 3-7. My husband and I have been married for 9 years. We are happy to be settling in St. Peter, MN after having spent a few years moving around while gaining our educations.
I stay current on CPR, neonatal resuscitation, and continuing education opportunities. I maintain memberships in local midwifery organizations as well.
I am able to bill medical insurance and I provide early payment discounts and sliding fee scales for self-pay clients.
